Queen
SafeRest CloudGuard - Queen Size Hybrid Mattress Protector & Pad (Extra Padded) - Waterproof Quilted Pillow Top Mattress Cover - Thick, Plush & Fitted Mattress Topper for Bed
4.4 (331 ratings — across all sizes of this protector)
Most protectors aim to disappear. CloudGuard aims to be felt: a thickly quilted, genuinely plush pad that softens a too-firm Queen mattress — with a water-resistant barrier hidden inside the quilting. It is the piece for beds that need both a comfort upgrade and coverage, and it replaces the pad-plus-protector stack with a single fitted layer that cannot shift out of alignment with itself.

Three layers of thinking
1
Quilted pillow-top surface
The top is deep, even quilting — real loft you can press a hand into, not decorative stitching. On a firm or aging mattress it reads as a comfort upgrade first and a protector second.
2
Barrier inside the quilting
Between the plush face and the fitted skirt runs a thin water-resistant layer. Spills, sweat and accidents stop inside the pad instead of reaching the mattress — the quilting takes the wash, the mattress takes nothing.
3
Deep elasticized fit
Wide elastic pockets stretch over the corners and pull the pad drum-flat. No wrinkles under the sheet, no migration to one side by morning — the failure that loose-strap mattress pads never solve.
The night test
The bar for a padded protector is honest: it has to feel better than the bare mattress, not just safer. Lie down on the quilting and judge it as a topper. The protection underneath is the part you will not notice until the day it matters.
Care
Machine washable despite the loft — cold water, low tumble, and give it a full cycle to dry through the quilting. It resists flattening through repeated washes, so the plush you feel in month one is still there in year two. Full care guide →
