SafeRest Zippered Mattress Protector - Premium 9-12 Inch Waterproof Mattress Cover for Bed - Breathable, Noiseless Washable Mattress Encasement - Twin XL

4.6 (17,911 ratings — across all sizes of this protector)

A fitted protector covers the surface you sleep on; an encasement seals the mattress itself. This Twin XL version closes a 9-to-12-inch profile behind a zipper on all six faces, which is the configuration dorms, hostels and adjustable bases call for — the beds most likely to arrive with a history nobody can account for, and the ones you most want a verified barrier on.

Three layers of thinking

1

Full 360 degree coverage

Fitted sheet style protectors leave the sides and underside exposed. The encasement covers every angle, so spills, allergens and bed bugs have no open face to work through in either direction.

2

Waterproof on every panel

The barrier runs through all six sides, not just the top. A drink that runs off the edge of the bed is stopped at the seam line instead of wicking around it into the core.

3

Quiet cotton, secure zipper

The outer fabric is soft noiseless cotton that breathes rather than trapping heat, and a strong zipper with tight stitching seals profiles up to 15 inches. Zip it once and the mattress stays closed.

The night test

An encased mattress feels no different through a fitted sheet. What changes is what you stop wondering about — the secondhand frame, the previous occupant, the itch that never had an explanation.

Care

It normally stays on the mattress while the bedding above it is laundered as usual. When it does need a wash, close the zipper fully first, then machine wash cold and tumble dry low. Full care guide →
