SafeRest Zippered Mattress Protector - Premium 9-12 Inch Waterproof Mattress Cover for Bed - Breathable, Noiseless Washable Mattress Encasement - Calking

4.6 (17,911 ratings — across all sizes of this protector)

Sealing a California King is the most demanding job in the line: seven feet of perimeter, four corners you cannot reach from one side of the bed, and a mattress expensive enough that nobody wants to find out what is living in it. This encasement closes 9-to-12-inch California King profiles completely, with waterproof fabric on every face and a zipper engineered to stay shut for years.

Three layers of thinking

1

Full 360 degree coverage

One continuous shell over top, bottom and all four sides. Allergy plans and pest protocols both require the closed underside that a fitted protector cannot give.

2

Waterproof on every panel

The barrier covers the whole shell, so a spill anywhere on a very large surface ends at the fabric. Preserving the mattress in the condition it was delivered in is the entire economics of the product.

3

Quiet cotton, secure zipper

Soft noiseless cotton outside, strong stitching and a high-quality zipper that handles profiles up to 15 inches. The seal survives sheet changes and the twice-yearly rotation of a bed this heavy.

The night test

Install it with two people and a plan — a California King is a lift, not a chore. After that the bed feels exactly as it did before, minus the open underside you can no longer see into.

Care

Leave it sealed on the mattress and launder the sheets above it normally. For an occasional refresh, zip it closed, machine wash cold, tumble dry low, and recruit the second pair of hands again. Full care guide →
